The lower extreme positions of the buttons are determined by the annular shoulder 15 in conjunction with the ring shoulder 16 and step 17, respectively located on buttons 8 and 7. By adjusting the rings 11, 12, 13 and 14, the stroke length of the piston can be changed. The essence of the invention is to use one button (8) to fill the pipette and another button with a larger stroke to empty the pipette, while the piston 4, when emptying, passes further to the tip of the pipette than when it is filled, thus ensuring reliable emptying of the pipette. A pipette may have a larger number of fill buttons, providing variously large doses (portions) of the contents. The main thing is that the emptying button is designed so that it always provides the maximum height of the piston stroke. A pipette with one filling button and one emptying button is preferred, and the filling button can be adjusted in a known manner with a stepless or stepwise setting. The length of the stroke corresponding to the emptying button is always greater than the stroke of the filling button corresponding to the maximum charge (dose). 31 In addition to the embodiment shown in the drawings, the rods may have, for example, a square cross section and slide along each other, a semicircular cross section, and they will then slide along each other with flat surfaces. The rods may finally move slightly apart from each other, being separated by a partition. The very shape of the buttons is determined in part by the arrangement of the rods, however, the ease of circulation also plays a role.
